Kiah has been busy with school, swim and church. She got her braces put on and the next day had a pretty severe case of pneumonia! She is feeling better now. She missed a week of school and about two weeks of swimming. The doctor said that she would be to weak to compete yet but….. She says “ya right!” The week she went back she went to Grays Harbor and got three of her best times! She has now qualified for 4 events for Regional’s 2011. This was a tough year since she ages up to swim with girls 10 and under. The times get a little tougher. She turns 9 just a few weeks before regional's. So she will be swimming with some girls that are almost 11. But she can do it! Coach Cyndi says that we have a new rule for her “she swims sick and with boys” For some reason she goes faster! She is learning to like the breast stroke. Which is huge!!!! This was her toughest stroke and she is trying hard at it!

I said I would post some pictures of the new house soon but....... John accidentally erased all of the pictures from 2009 and 2010! Yep if you do the math that is most of Hailey's life and most of Kiah's swim team. I am very sad, when I think of it I cry. Like really tears falling down my face. With all that said this is the time I yell to you, GO BACK UP YOUR PICTURES NOW!!!! A IT friend of ours tried helping us get them back and we did get some but not about 2000 pictures. (I think, who really knows) We are still desperately trying to get them back. But it is going to cost us some $$$$$ to even try! Everything is expensive! Thank God for the pictures I have on here! If anyone has any pictures please pass them along to us!

It was a crazy ride with being two independent small business owners, buying a short sale and being approved with mutual acceptance by all the dead lines. Phew.... We made it! Thanks to our amazing real estate agent Kristy Macpherson and our fabulous lender Jones Germain If you ever need some assistants in buying a home these are your two to get the job done!

We are cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning, painting the inside, replacing the carpet in the down stairs and then cleaning some more. Hopefully will be end the house by the end of July. And..... then maybe a house warming party! Any excuse to party right oh and show off what we have worked so hard for!

Mexico 2010

We surprised my niece Jaedyn with a cruise vacation to Mexico. She deserves it more than any other 10 year old girl I know. She was rather confused when we gave her sun screen, sun glasses, and a sun hat then we gave her plane tickets and a picture of a gigantic boat! She was still confused until Kiah yelled “Your going on a cruise with us!” So we told her that we had bought her all new clothes and that we were really excited to take her with us. Let me remind you this is the first time she has been anywhere on a plane or a big boat! She quietly asks “when are we going” Uncle John says “bright and early in the morning!” The excitement started setting in! Here are some non edited pictures of our trip!

I know for a fact I have never in my life been so overwhelmed! Nope not when I was in college, not when I got pregnant at 20, not planning my wedding, not having blood clots, I could go on and on. Why you ask????? Applying for a mortgage and LOOKING FOR A HOUSE TO BUY! Yes I yelled that. Although I still have time to laugh about it. I laugh because as I prayed about this excited new step in our life. I never thought I would feel like this. Okay I prayed but it was more of a plead, beg, and pouting to God to bless us with a loan. (Not so easy to get a loan as two independent contractors, not all glory owning your own business) Oh man what did I get myself in to? I am sure God is looking down saying to me I told you so. Now that I got what I begged and pleaded for I am not sure I want it anymore. Sorry God! Okay I do want it but I thought the hard part was over when we got our pre-approval. Ahhh No!!! Looking for houses is way harder! Oh did I forget to tell you we had a total of 3 weeks to get approved, find a house and make an offer to get in before the $8,000 tax credit?

It may sound like I am whining, well I guess I am a little. I am truly feeling blessed and am excited on our crazy journey!

We leave on vacation next Sat and I have NEVER, EVER in my life ever needed a vacation this bad.

So stay tuned...... We have 3 days left to find a house! hahahahahaha

Tulip Farms 2010

We had so much fun going up to Skagit Valley on Saturday. The weather was gorgeous and the fields were in full bloom. We headed up there with four of my internet friends aka: some of the best girlfriends you could ever ask for! Hailey loved the puddles! I guess I have never let her have a free for all in a puddle of muddy water. It made her day! After looking back at these pictures is showed me how fast my girls are growing up. Kiah has turned from a beautiful little girl into a gorgeous young lady! I am so blessed to call these two girls my daughters! Love you both more than you will ever know.

Regional Swim Championship 2010 Boise Idaho!

March 5,6, and 7th we were in Boise Id for Kiah’s regional swim championship! We picked up Jaedyn in Walla Walla on the way! It was SO great to have her for a weekend! Kiah did extremely well! She got 1st in two of her heats even. She ended up taking 3rd place in her 25 butterfly, 6th in her 25 freestyle, 6th in her 25 breast, 6th in her 50 butterfly, 7th in her 50 freestyle. She got DQ in her last race of the championship on her 25 yard backstroke. :( She would have placed 2nd if she would not have made a VERY minor mistake. We all learn the hard way!!! I am so proud of her she took for 3-4 seconds on everyone of her events! She even qualified in time for 10 year old events for next year. (Pray that regional's are in Federal Way!) Here are a few pictures of her from her event. Pictures are really hard to take in there due to the flags being in the way!

There were 497 kids there from WA, OR, ID, MT and Alaska even! We had to be up at 5:30 (4:30 are time) exhausting! Ask Jaedyn! Great work all year Kiah!

Hailey has been one sick baby for the last few months. She had a cold and it got worse and worse and turned in to RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) . There was not any meds they could give her to make it better since she still has her heart murmur from birth. So she waited it out. They did give her steroids to strengthen her lungs so that she would not get pneumonia. They also treated her for her 9th ear infection. We thought she was getting better and it took a turn for the worst! I took her in right away and they admitted us into Children’s hospital with pneumonia! That was so scary. I did remind myself that I needed to be thankful that it was not something worse like some of the other kids that were there for cancer and things. So sad! Here is a picture of the poor Boo!

We celebrated Kiah’s birthday late since we have had NO time! She had “Taylor Swift back stage party”. Not really but we like to pretend. We rented a hotel room (Thanks to Miss. Amy)! Had 9 girls over for a sleep over, ate pizza, LOTS OF PIZZA! Man I never knew how much 8 year olds can eat! They got to swim, make “Love Story Lip Gloss or Lotion, they made Taylor Swift book marks. They even rocked out to Taylor Swift on the karaoke machine! They walked down the red carpet and had interviews and pictures taking like the starts! It was a ton of fun for the girls but man was I tired! Thank You Heidi soooo much for helping me manage 9 little hormonal girls!

Note to self: DO NOT HAVE SLEEP OVERS WHEN THEY ARE 14!!!!!

I was able to help take care of my twin niece and nephew at the beginning of March. Mom and Dad got to go on a relaxing cruise! Ok Justin got to go on a relaxing cruise. Dawn was motion sick, home sick, missing her baby sick oh and I think she missed me SICK! It was so nice to be able to spend some time with the babes. That does not happen to often since they live in Oregon. I got to do the fun stuff like take them to the park, children’s museum lots and lots and lots of walks!

The first thing Kiah did this morning was run in and yell "I am 8!" Holy smokes how did this happen. I am more emotional about this birthday than any other. I see her turning into a beautiful young lady. She is such an amazing daughter and I am so blessed. I have been thinking about all the things she has accomplished over 8 years and it brings tears to my eyes. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! Momma loves you!

And to aw a little more...

Kiah had her last championship (2 day) swim meet this weekend and she qualified for regionals in every event she swam in. She in now qualified for every possible even she can swim in during regional's except one. She placed 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 7th out of about 30 kids 10 years old and under! I am so stinking proud of her! That alone brings tears to your eyes. Ok thanks for letting me aw my big "8" years old for a min.

Bake Sale and Awesome Raffle

We are doing a bake sale for Kiah to earn money towards her trip to Idaho for her regional's swim championship. It will be Saturday February 20th from 9-3. There will be some amazing baked goods there. There is also a raffle going to be held for a one hour massage, 75 min facial and hair service from Salon Vici and Day Spa. (suggested retail of $235.00) All raffle tickets are $5.00 and you can buy as many as you would like.

Kiah is a 2010 State Champion!!!!

Dad and Mom are so proud of you! You have been working so hard 3-4 times a week at practice and Tons of meets through out the season and it has paid off! Congratulations on placing and receiving two super cool medals and a few ribbons to add to your collection! Kiah has once again gotten regional times, 3rd place (bronze medal) in 25 freestyle, 3 place in 25 backstroke, 8th in state butterfly and 9th place in 50 freestyle! Keep up the hard work because you have regional's in a little over a month and the competition is going to be the best of the best! We told Kiah that if she placed 1-3rd at all during her state champ meet that we would take her to New York Cupcake and get her a special treat! She told me today that she “thinks this might be the best day of her life!”

This year I am going to try and focus on teaching pilates and doing a little more photography. I have also been pondering the idea of going back to school. We will see.

Kiah's swim team goes until March for meets and then will head to Idaho for regionals and then only practices again until August. That will be a nice break! ahhhh

We are also very excited about going on our cruise in April. We wish Gabe and Jenn were going boo....

I am also going to try and be a better blogger this year. It is hard to remember to write on here.

8 days until Christmas!

"Momma there is 8 days until Christmas" The count down is on! Kiah is soooo excited. I hear every morning for the last month on how many days are left until Christmas. Talk about pressure! I am done shopping but I don't want to be. I have so much fun buying gifts for other people. Things are going to get crazy from here on out.

Friday:
I have a 8 hour CPR/First Aid Class
Kiah has a half day and sing-a-long at school (That I am going to miss) :(
Kiah has swim team
Then dinner with a very special friend Mr. Scullion and his friend Emma.

Saturday:
Kiah's swim meet in Tacoma at 10:30-3:00
Straight to Oregon to visit The Colvins :)
ahhh RELAX..... Ya right! She has twins!

Huge Congratulations to Kiah! She has worked so hard for so many years on her swimming. It is definitely paying off. She got asked to be on the "Northshore YMCA Competitive Swim Team" a few months ago. Since then she has competed in 4 swim meets. Every year they will have a regional championship and you only get to compete if you qualify. Well John and I told her that she needed to qualify for at least 4 events for us to go to Idaho. Well today she hit the golden number! Every meet she has attended she has qualified for one event. So she is now qualified in the 25 yard freestyle, 25 yard back stroke, 50 Yard freestyle and the 25 yard breast stroke. She has had practice 3 days sometimes 4 day a week and she is doing so well! We are so proud of you Bug!!!! Keep up your hard work and positive attitude!!!!

This has been the best year of my life. I have the most two beautiful daughters, and one amazing husband! I am so thankful for my family it is crazy. Hailey you have brought so much joy to our family!

Here are a few of my favorite things you have shown me this year:

*When you were a newborn you had these little chubby cheeks that were so easy to kiss!

*When sissy walks into a room your face lights up like you are in Disneyland!

*You looked like a weeble wobble when you learned out to sit and play with toys on your own!

*You talk so much and it is fun to listen to you.

*Mommy and sissy can make you laugh so hard that it is contagious.

*When Daddy walks in the room you scream Daaddyy!

*When you learned to crawl you figured it out and then crawled like you were trying to win a race wherever you were trying to go.

*I love that you sit at sissys door when she is at school and yell for her.

*I love to chase you around on the floor and listen to you laugh and try and get away but you can't since you are laughing to hard.

*I think the way you say Lylia is the cutest thing in the world. (Wywia)

*You get soooo excited when you see sissy get off the bus. You just start to scream sissy!

*When we go to sissy's swim meet's you clap for her! So cute!

*You love to play peek-a-boo and you cover your ears and say e-a-ooh.

*I love to sing "If all the rain drops were lemon drops and gum drops" and you sing ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah!

These are just a few of things that you do that make my heart melt! Happy First Birthday my love!

It is official Hailey will be one this month! THIS MONTH! Where the heck did this year go? This has seriously been the fastest year of my life. It has also been the best year of my life. I am so stinking in love with my little family it is crazy. I never thought in a million years that love could feel like this. I mean I love my mom, dad, brothers ya know but the love for your own kids is like no other.

I have been having so much fun planning Hailey's party. I have really gone over board but John gave me the right since this is our last baby!

Also very big news! I know most of you know this already but....
Kiah had her first swim meet this last weekend and did so well. She got 1st place in Freestyle and qualified for regionals, 2ND place in backstroke and also qualified for regionals, 2nd in two relays and 2nd in a relay medley. So it looks like she may go to regional is Idaho. We would really like her to qualify for at least 4 different events for regionals. That is kind of a long drive! We are super proud of her. She is also very proud. The first thing she did when she got to swim team practice on Monday was walk quickly to her swim box and look for her ribbons. I think it was better than anything she has personally ever accomplished for herself! Good Job Kiah! Her next meet is Sunday October 11th in Juanita. Let us know if you want to come!!! I will post her race video when I figure out how to do this!

So we had our Fall photoshoot/Haileys first birthday photos yesterday. It was really hot for a September and am shocked that they turned out at good as they did. Kiah keeps saying she wants curly hair. I told her what my mom always told me. "Girls who have straight hair always want curly hair and girls who have brown hair always want blond hair!" So then I remember that my mom use to put rag curls in my hair to make it curly. So I asked her if she wanted me to do that to her. She thought I was so weird for cutting up an old towel and making knots in her hair with them. So here are some pictures of the rag curls in the making. We will see what she looks like in the morning!

Well here are the after shots from this morning! Can we say crazy? I think we have proved to hair that she loves her straight hair. She said "Mommy I want my hair back to straight" So I told her this is why we need to be thankful for what God has blessed us with.

Hailey has learned so much over the last few weeks. She has learned a bunch of new words, how to crawl and a few words in sign language. Here is a video of her crawling and talking to her momma! She is 10 months old now. I am also going to add a few pictures that I took over the weekend.

Hailey thinks that Kiah is so funny. She will hear Kiah's foot steps and just start to freak out with yells and laughter. Kiah gets pretty loud too! This melts my heart to see them laugh together.

I am starting a family blog so that I can keep everyone up to date with our family in one spot. You will have to forgive me since I am a horrible writer, speller and have horrible English! I am hoping that by doing this I can send out pictures, videos and little notes to family and friends. I also thought it would be cool for the girls to have a place they can go back to look at as they get older!
